Specialist, Molecular Biologist Onur Özer Biography

Specialist and Molecular Biologist Onur Özer obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics from İhsan Doğramacı Bilkent University between 2011 and 2016. From 2018 to 2022, he completed his Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, and Biotechnology at Istanbul Technical University, where he defended a thesis focused on the development of targeted drugs against COVID-19.

Additionally, he led a project under the TÜBİTAK 1512 program for the development of a bioelectronic device for early detection of breast cancer. His professional expertise includes bioinformatics, computational biology, medical genetics, computer-aided drug design, developmental biology, and evolutionary biology.

Since 2023, he has been working at the SMARTGEN Genetic Disease Assessment Center as a Molecular Biologist Expert.
